After attacking the controversial methods of Atletico Madrid,
the Spanish club battalion responded to Liverpool coach Juergen
Klopp,
days after the position that brought them together in the Champions
League round of 16.
Atletico Madrid managed to stop Liverpool’s winning streak, and defeated it 1-0, with a tight defensive performance,
in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16, on Tuesday
evening.
The German coach Juergen Klopp expressed his anger at Atletico
Madrid’s “twisted” methods,
which forced him to take out his Liverpool star Sadio Mane between
the two halves,
during, the two teams’ Champions League clash on Tuesday evening.
The club said after the meeting: “It was clear that they wanted to get
Sadio (Mane) out of the match by forcing him to get a second yellow
card.
These methods are part of football and I don’t like that.”
According to sources close to the club, the Spanish club players
expressed their “anger” at Klopp’s statements,
noting that the German coach should accept winning and losing
with a generous chest,
and focus on the failures of his team, according to the “ESPN”
website.
Also, the Croatian star Simi Versallico, who bothered Mani during,
the meeting and caused his first warning,
also, released a video of a “controversial” celebration for the
players,a day after the site.
Versallico posted on his official account on Instagram, a video of the
players inside the gym,
while, sarcastically celebrating their victory over Liverpool.
Versallico appeared at the end of the video laughing sarcastically
before, the Croatian defender erased the video from his accounts.
The video received a lot of criticism immediately after its
publication,
,because of the “exaggerated celebration” of the victory, especially
since the site was not resolved, pending the return match after
weeks in Liverpool.
Atletico Madrid will meet Liverpool at Anfield stadium on March
11th, in a match where Atletico will tie enough, or even a loss of 1-2
or 2-3, to qualify.
