With his first-minute goal against Midtland in the Danish club, in the final round of the Champions League,
Egyptian star Mohamed Salah became the historic scorer for Liverpool in the Champions League.
Salah scored a single goal 55 seconds after the start of his team’s match against Midteland, the Danish,
in the final round match of Group D of the Champions League.
With this goal, Salah reached the 22nd goal of the Champions League with Liverpool, which means that he
surpassed the club legend Steven Gerrard, who scored 21 goals for Liverpool in the tournament.
Salah needed only 39 games to become the historic Reds’ top scorer in the tournament, while Gerrard scored
his 21 goals in 73 games.
Salah also broke another historical record, which is that he scored the fastest goal for Liverpool in the competition
in history, after scoring the goal in the 55th second of the match.
It is noteworthy that the fastest goal in the history of the tournament was scored by the Dutchman Roy MacKay
for Bayern Munich, against Real Madrid, after only 10 seconds, in the 2006-2007 season.
