Barcelona star, Lionel Messi, paid tribute to the medical
teams fighting against the emerging Coronavirus,
praising their sacrifices.
“After the end of the World Health Workers Week, send
them a big thank you for the work they do,” Messi said in
a post on his official Instagram account.
The Argentine star added: “Unidentified heroes bear long
days and nights away from their families to ensure the
safety of our families from the Coronavirus, in addition
to their continued care for pregnant women and to
preserve the lives of children and young people.”
Messi had urged Argentine citizens to stay in their homes
through a message published by the Argentine Football
Association, in which he said: “The more difficult the
victory, the happier you will achieve it if you stay at
home, then we all win, commit to that.”
