The match that brought together the Spanish team Real Madrid
against its German counterpart Borussia Monchengladbach at
Borussia Park in the Champions League revealed the anger of
French striker Karim Benzema at the behavior of his Brazilian
colleague Vinicius Junior in the meeting.
The popular Spanish program “El Sharingito” published a video
clip in which Benzema talks with Ferland Mendy, in which he
talks about the Brazilian Vinicius Junior.
The camera spotted Benzema, during his conversation with
Mindy in the tunnel leading to the dressing room before the start
of the second half, telling him in the Frenchman: “He does
whatever he wants, don’t play with him, brother, he’s playing against us.”
Then, just before the second half kicked off on the field,
the three players “Karim Benzema, Verland Mendy and
Vinicius Junior” seen talking together, although their
words not captured.
Social media ignited by this video, and Benzema received
a torrent of comments and criticism as a result of the incident.
It is noteworthy that the Real Madrid team suffered in Tuesday’s
confrontation against Borussia Monchengladbach and nearly
suffered its second consecutive defeat in the Champions League
this season 2020-2021, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
On the other hand, the Brazilian Vinicius Junior did not give a
great performance in the match and the French coach Zinedine
Zidane had to substitute him in the second half after he was a
key player and entered him as a substitute for the Belgian striker
Eden Hazard in the 70th minute.
