A CNBC report revealed that version 13 of Apple’s iOS system suffers from a security vulnerability in the “Communication Limits” feature, which enables parents to control who children can communicate with through iPhone and iPad phones.
According to “CNBC”, the feature does not prevent children from talking to strangers via the phone or the application “FaceTime”, even SMS, while the feature is supposed to allow children to be banned from contacting anyone not included in the record of numbers.
It turns out to technical experts that the feature that prevents children from adding new contacts unless a parent enters a PIN code does not work if the contacts are not stored on the iCloud service.
And it turns out that the operating system enables children when receiving a text message from an unknown person, to know that it is coming from a “restricted” user, and gives them the option to add the number to the contact record, and therefore to see the content of the message and communicate with that person, knowing that it should not be allowed without Enter the identification code.
Also, children can defraud the service through the Apple smart watch linked to the iPhone if they ask “Siri” for example to send a message or call any number, whether it is listed in the contact or not.
Commenting on the problem, “CNBC” quoted Apple as saying that the problem occurs with devices that have adopted “non-standard settings”, and that it is working to fix the error, and solve it in a new update
