Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp refused on Saturday
evening to make any excuses after the brutal “Reds”
defeat against Watford in the Premier League.
Liverpool received its first defeat this season in the
Premier League with three clean goals from Watford,
who is battling down, in the match between them today
at the last stadium in the twenty-eighth round of the
tournament.
And Liverpool’s defeat is his first in 45 games, after
losing 2-1 to Manchester City on January 3, 2019.
The Watford player, Ismail Saar, scored two goals for his
team and also made another goal for his colleague Troy
Denny, to inflict a historic defeat on the Club Battalion
in the League Championship.
However, Klopp acknowledges in a press statement
carried by the English newspaper “Mirror” that the best
team has won in today’s match, adding that his team must
accept the loss.
“They (Watford) did exactly what they wanted to do,
which is what we did not do, that is football,” said the
German coach.
He continued: “In the first half it was difficult, there was
a lot of running here and there, and we acquired the ball
a lot, but we were not positioned in the right places that
enabled us to end the attacks as they should, against a
good and organized team.”
“You have to accept it, I know it’s not easy, but the loss
is proof that we weren’t good enough tonight, the
competition is always very difficult,” he added.
With that result, the owner of the land raised his score to
27 points to climb to 17th in the Premier League table,
equally with West Ham and Bournemouth, while
Liverpool’s balance stopped at point 79, at the top of the
competition table.
