Argentine soccer star Lionel Messi has maintained his position as the world’s highest-paid player, ahead of his traditional rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Juventus.
According to the French newspaper L’Equipe, Messi earns a total income of 8.3 million euros per month.
This figure includes all incomes, compensation, and bonuses, before collecting taxes imposed by the Spanish authorities.
As for Ronaldo, he earns 4.5 million euros, followed by the Paris Saint-Germain player, Neymar, who receives 3 million euros.
Barcelona players Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez receive a monthly gross income of just under three million euros per month.
In sixth place, the Real Madrid stars, Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard, came with a total income of 2.5 million euros per month.
At the level of training, Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was ranked first, with a fee equivalent to twice that of Zinedine Zidane in Real Madrid, or 3.6 million euros.
