The American company Google is preparing to launch 5 new features in
the Android system in the coming weeks, with the aim of improving a number of
services and applications.
The site “The Verge” that the features will improve navigation in the Maps service,
and the advantage of mixing emoji in the keyboard application Gboard, and voice access,
audiobooks for the Google Play app store, and the nearby file sharing service.
In the Maps service, Google will add a new tab under the name Go in order to enable
users to easily navigate to favorite places, without having to enter the address each time.
The company has also expanded the emoji mixing feature available on the Gboard from
a few hundred to more than 14,000. The feature, called Emoji Kitchen, allows users
to click on two emoji to view the suggested mix.
With regard to “voice access”, the navigation feature in the Android system based on
voice commands, Voice Access, which was available so far for Android 11 system,
has become (now) available globally for all devices running version 6.0 and later.
Google has also made a change that may result in more audiobooks available in the Play Store.
The company stated that it had provided publishers in the United States and the United Kingdom
with a tool for automatic conversion of books from written to audio.
She indicated that the Nearby Share feature will soon support direct sharing of “Play Store” apps
with nearby Android users.
In addition to these features, the US tech giant plans to launch Android Auto, the version for cars,
in 36 new countries.
