Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang revealed that he missed the last two matches of the team due to his
mother’s illness, and that he will return to face Manchester United in the English Premier League on Saturday.
The Gabonese striker missed the loss to Southampton in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the beginning of this
week, and the 3-1 victory over the same competitor in the “Premier League”, Tuesday.
Aubameyang wrote on his Twitter account: “My mother had health problems, and I should have been by her side.
Her condition has improved now.”
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has said he is not confident of Aubameyang’s possible return against Manchester United.
Arsenal is ranked ninth with 30 points from 20 matches.
