Arsenal club coach Mikel Arteta considered it difficult for
German Mesut Ozil to find his way to the starting line-up in
his team, which he described as “developing”.
“The team is developing and you can see the level we have
reached. We want to develop more and play better so we have
to maintain that,” Arteta said after winning two goals gratis to
Leicester City in the League Cup on Wednesday.
He added, “I try to choose the squad that, in my opinion, is in
the best position. We choose the players that we believe are
the best for every match and you can see that because of the
continuing change in the squad.”
He continued: “This is very difficult not only for Ozil, but for
other players to enter the squad. We try to choose the right
players every week,” according to “Reuters”.
It is worth noting that Ozil, whose contract expires in June, did
not play at the end of last season, and was knocked out of
Arsenal’s first three matches in the new season.
