Once again talks about the departure of Gareth Bale from Real
Madrid, after the Welsh footballer confirmed that he would
consider returning to the English Premier League, as his royal
team allowed an end to his playing period in Spain.
The 31-year-old was about to leave for Jiangsu Suning, China,
last year, before the deal faltered.
After that, he did not participate much with Real Madrid, who
won the Spanish League last season, after the tournament
resumed after stopping due to Corona.
Despite winning 4 Champions League titles with Real Madrid,
Bale caused divided opinions in Spain due to his reported lack
of commitment and his repeated injuries.
Gareth Bale, who played 146 matches with Tottenham Hotspur
between 2007 and 2014 before moving to Real Madrid, told Sky
Sports: “If it increases (interest from Premier League clubs)
I will definitely think about it.
“We will see what happens and there is still a long time before
the current transfer window closes. Time will clarify
everything, but I think the reason for that is that it is in
Real Madrid’s hands.”
Bale, who joined Wales’ squad to face Finland and Bulgaria in
the European Nations League, said he was happy to be back in
an environment where he feels “appreciated”.
He added, “I tried to leave last year, but (Real Madrid) stopped
everything at the last moment .. There were other periods when
I tried to leave but the club refused to do so, or did something.
It is up to the club,” according to “Reuters”.
“I am 31 years old, but I am still in great shape and I feel I can
do a lot. We will see what happens. It is in the hands of the club,
but it makes it really very difficult.”
