The Spanish newspaper “Marca” revealed that the Barcelona
club management had drawn up a plan to contract with Hector
Bellerin, the Arsenal player, during the summer transfer market.
The newspaper said that the Catalan club seeks to return Pelerin
to “Camp Nou” in order to be a substitute for the Portuguese
Simedo, who has become outside the accounts of coach Ronald Koeman.
She explained that the Barcelona administration believes that
the “best option” to sign the 25-year-old Spanish player is
to “borrow” him.
It does not appear that “Al Barsa” is currently able to pay an
amount ranging between 40 to 50 million euros (the value of
the deal) due to the economic conditions caused by the Coronavirus.
For this, the club is considering the possibility of contracting
the player on loan for a season with the possibility of a final
contract with him next summer.
Marca stressed that this option will not cost the club anything,
especially since the player’s annual salary does not exceed
4 million euros.
It is noteworthy that Bellerin has a contract with Arsenal, which
extends until June 2023.
