Antoine Griezmann scored twice and set up two more goals to lead Barcelona’s late uprising and win 5-3
at Granada after extra time, reaching the Copa del Rey semi-final on Wednesday.
Granada was 2-0 up two minutes from the end thanks to a double by Kennedy and Roberto Soldado.
But Griezmann, who had lost the ball in the onslaught that led to Soldado’s goal, brought Barcelona back to life
in the 88th minute and then equalized for teammate Jordi Alba in stoppage time.
The French striker gave Barcelona the lead after ten minutes of extra time, and even after Fedo Fico equalized
from the penalty spot moments later, Barcelona managed to advance again through Frenkie de Jong in
the 108th minute.
Alba settled Barcelona’s victory with a superb direct shot from Griezmann’s pass, to ensure the Catalan team
its place in the semifinals.
