David Silva, who is preparing for his last Premier League game
against Norwich City, said on Sunday that the titles he achieved
with Manchester City exceeded his dreams.
Silva has won 11 seasons in 10 seasons with Manchester City,
including 4 Premier League titles since joining from Valencia in 2010.
The 34-year-old, who has scored 60 goals in 308 league
matches, will leave the Etihad stadium when his contract
expires at the end of the season.
Silva said: “When I relive the past, I never imagined in my
wildest dreams ambitious to achieve all this, when you are
a young man do not dream about all these things.”
“You dream of being a football player, then a professional
soccer player, then playing first class, but don’t think about
the possibility of achieving everything possible.”
Silva won the League Player of the Month award only once,
despite being one of the most stable players in City, but he
is not very busy with individual prizes.
He continued: “I want people to remind me that I am a nice
person and I enjoy playing and the audience are enjoying my
performance and this is simple.”
