Corona continues to spread in Europe and its impact on
sporting events, with the French second division club
Troyes announced that two of its players have been
infected with the emerging virus.
The club’s announcement came late Friday, after the
French League suspended all first and second division
matches for fear of spreading the virus.
The club indicated that a player in the first team and
another in the club’s academy were infected with the
“Corona” virus.
“The players were immediately removed in their homes.
The whole club is also subject to medical supervision,”
Troyes said on his official website.
The club did not reveal the identity of the players
infected with the virus, but French media said that South
Korean international striker Suk Hyeon John was among
them.
And media reports, quoting coach Laurent Battle, added
that Sook’s participation in his team’s match scheduled
for Friday was in doubt, because “he did not feel that he
was in a very good condition.”
