Cyberpunk 2077 Sales Rise Significantly
Cyberpunk 2077 from the development and dissemination of the CD Projekt RED studio
is known to have been heavily criticized when it was launched despite its huge sales.
Sales came through the developer’s “deceptive” marketing campaign to speak of it, where not all copies of
PlayStation 4 and AXPOX were reviewed and had a large share of technical problems and a sharp decline in
performance, yet the developer apologized to the players and also promised to fix the game,
which happened after it got several updates.
Cyberpunk 2077 managed to sell more than 18 million copies, 14.3 million copies of which came between
December 10 and December 31 of 2020, meaning that 2021 sold only 4.3 million copies, representing a sharp 68
percent drop in the game’s sales.
Recently, during a meeting with investors, CD Projekt RED CEO Adam Kizinski spoke that Cyberpunk 2077 sales
increased by 9 percent compared to the same period last year, thanks to continuous work on correcting errors and
releasing the new generation version of the game.
Adam Kizinski also spoke that the upcoming DLC content of Cyberpunk 2077, announced earlier,
will be the last project of the development studio CD Projekt RED on the company’s internal RED engine,
which has played a significant role in problems with the launch of the game.
