Lazio striker Ciro Imobili equaled the record for goals in one
Serie A season, scoring a goal on Saturday, despite a 3-1 loss
to Napoli in the last round.
The 30-year-old raised his score to 36 goals and equaled
Gonzalo Higuain’s achievement with Napoli in the 2015-2016 season.
Imobili finished the season 5 goals ahead of Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
And Fabian Ruiz made a goal with Napoli after nine minutes
with a shot from outside the penalty area that turned its direction.
Napoli’s Lorenzo Insini hit the post before Imobili tied for Lazio
in the 22nd minute.
Napoli regained the lead from a penalty kick by Encini, and then
Matteo Politano added the third goal in overtime.
Lazio finished fourth in the league with 78 points, while Napoli,
the Italian Cup champion, finished seventh with 62 points.
