The English Premier League announced on Wednesday
that the third series of screening tests for the emerging
Corona virus, conducted by Monday and Tuesday,
revealed 4 positive cases in 3 clubs.
The number of cases that have been revealed since the
tests began since the beginning of last week, has
increased to 12 cases among players, members of
technical staff.
The Premier League has not disclosed the identity or
clubs of people living with the virus, but clubs
sometimes announce those involved in official
statements, as did Burnley, Watford or Bournemouth
previously.
The association added that the injured will isolate
themselves for a period of 7 days, according to the
protocol that was put in place to resume the exercises.
She explained that she will continue to intensify
examinations after 748 exams in the first series,
966 exams in the second series, and 1008 in the third.
She noted that for the fourth series scheduled for this
weekend, 60 people in the ranks of each club will be
examined Covid-19, compared to 50 in previous tests.
The “Premier League” took a big step towards resuming
the season that had been stalled since March due to the
outbreak of the Corona virus, by allowing,
on Wednesday, frictions in the exercises.
The decision came after the British government
authorized the transition to the “second stage” of the
plan to resume sports competitions, which allow players
to interact in training, including challenges and
confrontations, to help them regain their fitness before
returning to competitive confrontations.
The League will now have to discuss with the clubs and
carrier channels for the remaining 92 matches this
season, especially when the first game since the league
stopped on March 9th due to the epidemic of “Covid-19”.
