The Premier League clubs agreed, on Thursday, to impose a comprehensive ban on any fan punished by his club for racist abuse or misconduct.
According to “Reuters” quoted the English Premier League Football Association, the clubs held a shareholder meeting, during which they agreed to adopt a unified position of the misconducting fans.
“After the recent events, all 20 clubs have agreed to impose a comprehensive ban on any fan who punishes his club for suspension due to offensive, racist or violent behavior,” the Premier League said in a statement.
She added, “The Premier League or its clubs will not tolerate any unacceptable behavior or behavior towards players, fans, or employees of clubs or referees.”
The league announcement comes on the same day that Bournemouth revealed that a 17-year-old fan had been punished with life imprisonment after being convicted of racist abuse during a Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur last November.
