A new episode in the ongoing conflict between Apple and Epic,
with the latter announcing that Apple has prevented the famous
arena fighting game Fortnite from obtaining any new updates to
announce the cessation of its support for the game, specifically
the new update for the fourth season of the game in the second
chapter of it, scheduled for release on August 27th.
The reason for all these problems is the decision of APIC to
open the door for in-game purchases with its latest update,
which is something that Apple finds contrary to its laws for
video games on its platform by trying to evade paying Apple’s
share of the game’s profits and therefore decided to prevent it on
its devices, which is the matter that APIC faces now in the courts
that It issued its initial decision regarding the validity of Apple’s
position in the case and the continued ban on the game:
