The end of the Brazilian city of Porto Alegre in the
Derby match witnessed a fight between Internacional
and Porto Alegre players, which led to the dismissal of 4
players from each team.
The match, which ended Thursday and ended in a
goalless draw, was part of the South American
Libertadores Cup in soccer.
Argentine referee Fernando Rapalini expelled Pepe and
Costa Costa from Porto Alegre, Adenelson and Barbosa
from Internacional in the 88th and 89th minutes after
clashes between the players of the two teams.
But things soon evolved after that, and the reserve
players participated in the two teams, and the referee
sent off Miranda and Henrique from Gremio, Cuesta and
Conceicao Praxidis from Internacional in the 90 + 5 and
90 + 7 minutes.
The Porto Alegre derby, dubbed “Grenal”, is one of the
most hostile domestic matches in Brazil.
