Angel Di Maria scored a goal, and set up two more, to lead Paris
Saint-Germain to a 3-0 victory over Razenpal Sport Leipzig,
Tuesday, and reach the Champions League final for the first time in its history.
Saint-Germain will play in the final on Sunday at the “Da Luz”
stadium in Lisbon, against the winner of the match between
Bayern Munich and Olympic Lyon, on Wednesday.
The French champion, who scored twice into the goal in the first
half, grabbed the lead in the 13th minute when Di Maria,
returning from suspension, sent a free-kick pass that
Marquinhos headed into the net.
Di Maria scored after Leipzig’s goalkeeper Peter Gulchi missed
the ball, and then reached Neymar, who prepared it with the heel
of the foot to his Argentine teammate to put it in the net.
Saint-Germain, who have not reached a continental final since
1997 when they lost to Barcelona in the Cup Winners’ Cup final,
secured their place in the final when Juan Bernat diverted Di
Maria’s cross pass with a header into the net, in the 56th minute.
