This week, the Psyonix development team announced a new
update to the Rocket League game, which will allow it to be
played at a speed of 120 frames with the new generation of
Xbox devices, but the same thing will not be achieved with the
PlayStation 5 version of the game.
The reason, according to the development team, is that the
ability to achieve this for the Xbox platform needs only a
modification file, but on the Playstation 5 device, and because of
the pre-compatibility method between the devices, the team will
need to re-work on the accuracy of the entire resolution, which
is something that the team cannot focus on now because it is
busy with other things.
