The State Council of France in France rejected, on Tuesday,
the appeal submitted by Lyon against the decision of the
Football Association League to end the season early due to
the new Corona virus.
The council also decided to suspend the decline of Toulouse
and Amiens to the second degree.
The three clubs raised their voices loudly against the
association’s decision in late April to end the season and to top
leaders Paris Saint-Germain at the title, due to the consequences
of “Covid-19”.
The decision was largely reflected in the three clubs, as Lyon,
who was ranked seventh in the standings, was deprived of
competing for a qualifying position for one of the two European
Union competitions (Champions League and “Europa League”).
The decision also caused Toulouse and Amiens to drop to
the second degree.
