Furious Liverpool Fans Call for Get rid of Mohamed Salah
“Get rid of Salah now… His level has become miserable. ” This is the latest outcry from Premier League rivals
Liverpool towards the Egyptian star after reports that he is ready to move to an opponent in the English football
tournament due to the stalemate of renewing his contract.
Liverpool’s social media audience has reacted angrily to the reports of Mohamed Salah’s exit,
who looks set to be open to moving to another club in the Premiership in June 2023,
where Salah has only 12 months left on his contract as talks remain at a standstill.
Frustrated Liverpool fans targeted Mohamed Salah after those reports, although the Egyptian star made it clear
he was fully focused on Liverpool next season.
So The Athletic claimed in a report that Mohamed Salah would prefer to stay in the Premier League after leaving
Liverpool.
However The news apparently did not go down well in Merseyside, where fans flocked to social media to express their anger
and frustration.
But Salah is unlikely to leave this summer or in the winter transfer window next January despite the lack of direct
talks between Liverpool and the player’s agent since last December.
Mohamed Salah, 29, has scored 156 goals in 254 appearances since arriving at Anfield from Rome for £43.7 million
in 2017.
He has also finished top of the Premier League’s top scorers with South Korea’s Son Heung-min, the Spurs star,
this season.
Salah became a prominent figure at Anfield, scoring in the 2019 Champions League final by beating Tottenham.
This season Salah scored 31 goals in all competitions for Liverpool’s Carabao Cup and FA Cup victory.
Losing Salah and Senegal’s Sadio Mane in quick succession would be a blow to Jurgen Klopp’s side, who will be
looking for an all-out attack to contest again for next season’s Premier League title after being narrowly
lost this time to Manchester City, by just one point.
