The German Football Association (DFB) has announced
that it is forming a medical team to “carry out a strict and
independent examination of players and other
administrators, including immediately before match
days,” in case the season resumes.
The federation has also relaxed financial fair play
regulations, as it expects clubs to struggle to cope with a
long-term shortfall in TV broadcast revenue, tickets and
sponsorship.
Clubs that start bankruptcy proceedings this season
not penalized with a mandatory discount of 9 points.
The “liquidity position” of the teams not taken
into account when issuing licenses for the next season.
No match played in the Bundesliga since March
11, due to the outbreak of the Coruna virus.
The first and second divisions agreed to extend the
suspension of the German Bundesliga until April 30, at
the latest.
