The Austrian Red Bull Salzburg coronation
championship footage revealed the “bleak” future of
the upcoming coronation ceremony in the coming
months.
Footage of Salzburg crowned the Austrian Cup on Friday
spread on social media, at a ceremony described by
many as “gloomy”.
Red Bull Salzburg achieved the Austrian Cup title,
by defeating Austria Lustino, 5-0, on Friday evening,
in the first match in Austria since football matches
stopped.
Officials applied social distance during the coronation,
and the players dispersed on the podium, while the
captain went to receive the championship cup.
The players exchanged the golden cup, while they
jumped and celebrated, each in his own circle.
The Salzburg ceremony marked the bleak celebration
that we will see in the coming weeks, when the
European Champions League champions are crowned.
Liverpool, who are waiting for their celebrations to win
the league title this season, are remembering Liverpool,
after a 30-year absence.
It is not yet known whether the other European leagues
will follow the Austrian celebration method, but it
certainly has given everyone a “disturbing” idea of a new
phenomenon that the Coronavirus will steal from
football.
