Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola revealed the likely date
for striker Sergio Aguero to return to the team.
Guardiola indicated that Aguero may miss the first two months
of the Premier League season, as he has not yet trained with the
team since his knee injury last June.
The Spanish coach indicated that Aguero’s fitness may be
incomplete until next November, adding: “We know that his
injury is difficult.”
In an interview with the BBC, Guardiola said: “He has not yet
taken any training session with us, and Aguero is not one of
the players who are quickly regaining fitness. He is absent for
a long time and may need a month or two to be ready,”
according to Reuters “.
It is worth noting that Argentine superstar Aguero has missed
City’s last 12 games in the 2019-2020 season, including the last
two Champions League matches in August.
