Moroccan Ashraf Hakimi, Spain’s Real Madrid player
loaned to Germany’s Borussia Dortmund, has been on
the radar of Chelsea FC recently, according to sports
reports.
The newspaper “Mirror” reported that the Chelsea club
management asked Real Madrid about the possibility of
including Hakimi, in the context of Chelsea coach Frank
Lampard’s efforts to strengthen the ranks of the team
with distinguished players in the next transfer season.
Hakimi played this season with Borussia Dortmund on
loan, gave a special season and became a star in the
German league.
Hakimi, 21, moved to the German team for one year, and
there is no purchase option clause in his contract, with
the end of his term, which prompted many clubs to
inquire about his position.
The newspaper pointed out that the Real Madrid
administration told Chelsea that it had not taken a
decision yet on Hakimi, and would not take the decision
until the end of the current season, according to the
Spanish “AS”.
While the Real Madrid administration plans to return
Hakimi to the team, the final word remains for Zinedine
Zidane, the coach of the Spanish club.
Sources have suggested that Bayern Munich will seek to
include Hakimi, in case Real Madrid does not want to
return.
Hakimi, accompanied by Borussia Dortmund in various
tournaments, played 37 games during which he scored 7
goals.
