“happy news” for Mohamed Salah
The Egyptian star achieved his fourth personal award this season in England, by declaring
him the best player in the league by fans’ vote for the second time in his history.
The Professional Players Association in England announced that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah
had won the award for the best player in the Premier League this season, with the vote of the fans.
However Mohamed Salah, with the fans’ vote, outperformed the other candidates, who are Englishman
Trent Alexander Arnold (Liverpool), Belgian Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), England’s
Phil Foden (Manchester City), Englishman Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace) and Englishman
Declan Rice (West Ham).
This is Salah’s fourth individual award with the end of the English Premier League season,
after the award for the best player of the season granted by the Football Writers Association,
in addition to the Golden Boot award, and the award for the best playmaker in the league.
Belgian Kevin De Bruyne was awarded the League Player of the Year award, which is presented
by the League, while the League Player of the Year award presented by the Professional Players
Association remains in England.
