A year and a half after Eden Hazard moved to Real Madrid from Chelsea,
the English deal still did not bear fruit for both parties, but some described
it was a failure with the multiple injuries of the Belgian star and his loss of much of his luster.
The Spanish newspaper “AS” analyzed the deal financially to clarify the heavy
burden it represents on the treasury of the royal club, which obtained the services
of Hazard after paying 100 million euros.
The Belgian star, who a few days ago suffered his ninth infection
(including infection with the emerging coronavirus), has made his record with
the Real poor so far.
Hazard played only 28 matches in 1860 minutes, during which he scored 3 goals and
made 7 assists.
By calculating the value of the deal (100 million euros) with his salary in 18 months,
the cost of Hazard’s participation was 134.4 million euros, meaning that the price
per minute amounted to 72,258 euros to be exact.
According to another calculation, the cost of one match for the Belgian star amounted
to 4.8 million euros, one goal of 44.8 million euros, and the price of the assist,
it cost 19.2 million euros.
It is noteworthy that Hazard earns an annual salary of 24 million euros.
On the other hand, Real Madrid deducted a 10 percent deduction from the salaries
of its players during the suspension period due to the Corona pandemic, which
would have increased to 20 percent if the season was not completed.
