Lionel Messi’s crisis is still at the forefront of the world’s press
concerns, while his next destination remains unknown, in case
his intentions to leave Barcelona are true.
With the interest of the largest European clubs to include the 33-
year-old Argentine football legend, the French newspaper “Le
Parisien” revealed that the stars of Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar
and Angel Di Maria, are trying to persuade Messi to join the French
league champion this summer.
Messi has medical relations with the two, as he joined Neymar
for 4 seasons in Barcelona while he played for years with Di Maria
in the Argentina national team.
According to press reports, it appears that Paris Saint-Germain
and Manchester City are the two destinations closest to the
inclusion of Messi, who informed his club management a few
days ago of his desire to end his career at the “Camp Nou”.
“Le Parisien” indicated that Leonardo, the sporting director of
the French capital team, had already contacted the Catalan club
management for the possible deal, stressing that “Saint-Germain
is one of the clubs capable of earning Messi his salary.”
He had informed the Barcelona administration that he wanted to
hold a meeting with them to “discuss his future and the details
of his contract,” as his lawyers say that there is a clause that
allows him to leave for free this summer, while the Barcelona
administration insists on the need to pay the penalty clause of
700 million euros.
