The English soccer club Liverpool’s song “You Will Not
Walk Alone” has turned into a message of solidarity in
the face of the new epidemic of the Corona virus, which
broadcast by radio stations on Friday in 30 different
European countries.
Liverpool’s anthem broadcast on 180 European radio
stations, and the owner of the idea, Dutch song
coordinator Sander Hogndorn, who works for the local
3FM radio before broadcasting the anthem, said: “It is
directed to everyone sitting in his house, to everyone
who works hard.”
The idea won approval from many other radio stations
across Europe, including the BBC.
The “Covid-19” virus has killed more than 5,000 people
across Europe, that is, at least half of the global toll, the
majority of them in Italy.
The outbreak has stopped sports, including soccer
tournaments, in most parts of the old continent.
