Real Madrid asked their fans to stay away from the usual sites
of the Royal Club celebrations in Madrid if he won the La Liga title.
The request came the day after Real won 2-0 against Granada,
separating him by two points and not more than obtaining his
first league shield in 3 years.
Real Madrid’s victory over Granada next Thursday will be
enough to ensure the Royal Club secures its 34th title.
Real Madrid are second behind Barcelona, with four points,
with two matches remaining.
The club said in a statement on Tuesday: “We are all aware of
the difficult situation we are going through and the efforts made
by the whole society to combat the effects of the pandemic
Covid 19 … Football also plays its part in this, and with the help
of all, we were able to resume the competition in very
complicated circumstances.”
“We all must contribute, as was the case until today, and show
the highest degree of responsibility to avoid the risk of
infection,” the club added.
He made it clear that his players will not visit the celebration
sites, which include the “Plaza de Cibeles” square in the Spanish capital.
