The Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology
announced the banning of 118 games for smartphones, all of
these games coming from the Chinese developer, based on
concern that these games threaten user privacy as well as
the security of the state itself.
One of the games that has been banned is PUBG Mobile despite
the fact that the game has recently amended the privacy policies
for users in India, and we are waiting for the game’s publisher
Tencent to respond to this ban, especially since India constitutes
a huge percentage of the game’s fan base.
