In a shocking direction, a journalist close to Barcelona revealed
that the Italian club Juventus had offered its first star, Cristiano
Ronaldo, to the Catalan club, to get rid of his huge salary.
According to Spanish journalist Guillem Ballagh, who is close
to Barcelona, Juventus spoke with Barcelona in order to sell
Ronaldo to the latter, in a deal that could bring the two
Millennium football legends, Lionel Messi and Ronaldo,
together in one team.
According to Balagh, Juventus wants to get rid of Ronaldo’s
huge salary, which exceeds 30 million euros annually, so he
began to contact the major European clubs, including Barcelona.
“He (Ronaldo) has been offered for sale to many clubs,
including Barcelona. I am not sure if they can sell him with his
huge salary, who will pay him that money?” Ballagh said,
according to the Daily Mail.
This is the first time that the “dream scenario” is close to
realization, which is Messi playing alongside Ronaldo in
one team, a remote possibility that has always represented
a discussion for fans.
Although the possibility of Ronaldo moving to Barcelona is
very weak, the idea of selling him may make sense to Juventus
in financial terms, as the expenses of keeping Ronaldo are very
huge, and the Italian champion seeks to rebuild the team and
rely on young people, since Andrea Pirlo was appointed coach of the team.
