Liverpool coach, Juergen Klopp, attacked the British
government and Prime Minister Boris Johnson, because of
the “slow” decision-making on the emerging Corona virus.
Klopp expressed his complete surprise at not imposing stricter
laws early, to prevent the spread of the virus and protect
the population.
Klopp compared the infections in Britain to the number of
infections in his country, Germany, which saw much fewer
numbers, and had more control over the virus.
Klopp said: “I did not vote for this government.
This government is a choice of other people … I was never
worried that this government would give us the league title,
because my main concern was about the high death toll.”
“I don’t know why we started wearing protective masks indoors
on June 15, after 5 or 6 weeks from the countries of the world,”
he added.
He continued: “I feel surprised when I see the numbers in
England and compare them to Germany. When you want to go
to a place in Germany, you must wear a protective mask or you
will not be allowed to enter.”
“When I go to the gas station, I am the only person who wears
a muzzle and gloves. I feel like an alien,”
the German coach added.
