After a long wait, the Spanish Football Association announced
on Sunday the schedule for the return of the “La Liga” matches,
which had stopped since last March.
Barcelona will resume its quest to defend the League title,
Saturday, June 13 away from home against Real Mallorca,
while Real Madrid will play at home against Ibar on June 14.
The League announced that the competition will return with a
local summit match between Seville and Real Betis on June 11,
and there will be matches in the next seven days, as Barcelona
meet at home with Leganes on June 16, and Real Madrid play
their home against Valencia on June 18.
Barcelona were two points ahead of Real Madrid after 27
games, when the season stopped in March after the outbreak
of the new Corona virus.
It is expected that the Spanish first division will now become the
second major competition in the five major leagues in Europe
to resume its activities, after the German League, which was
resumed earlier in May.
