Striker Robert Lewandowski broke misfortune when he
hit the net for Fortuna Dusseldorf for the first time with
two goals, to lead Bayern Munich to a 5-0 victory,
Saturday, and the champion is approaching his 30th title
and extending his record in the German League.
Bayern Munich, who is seeking its eighth consecutive
title, leads the competition with 67 points from 29
games, ten ahead of Borussia Dortmund, his closest
attache, who is a guest at bottom club Paderborn on
Sunday.
Lewandowski ended his fast in the 16th place against
Fortuna, when Bayern gave the lead 3-0 in the first half
after Matthias Jorgensen’s double in his own goal, and
French Benjamin Pavard.
This means that the Polish striker finally netted all
German Bundesliga teams, after failing to score in 5
previous encounters against Fortuna with Bayern,
or his former team, Dortmund.
Lewandowski raised his score to 43 goals in all
competitions this season, equaling his personal number
achieved in the 2016-2017 season.
The Polish striker made the score 4-0 at the start of the
second half with a touch of the heel of a low cross pass.
Alfonso Davis finished the five-goal in the 52nd minute.
Fortuna remained in the 16th place for the attachment to
remain with 27 points, one point behind Mainz, and two
points ahead of Werder Bremen, who has a game
in hand.
