The German government refused to allow the English club Liverpool to enter German territory to face German
Red Bull Leipzig, as part of the Champions League round of 16.
On February 16, the German Leipzig will host its guest, Liverpool, in the first leg of the 16th round of
the Champions League.
But Germany refused to receive arrivals from the countries where the mutated strain of the emerging
coronavirus appeared, led by Britain, according to the “Sky Sports” website.
German authorities did not allow an exemption for Liverpool to play in Germany, which means that Leipzig
will have to choose another place to play the first leg.
Leipzig tried to obtain the approval of the British government to enter Liverpool, in order to allow him to play
the sensitive first leg at home, but the government refused.
The news comes in the interest of Liverpool, who will play the first-leg match on neutral soil, or even on British soil,
