The mayor of Liverpool expressed his great admiration for
the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who represents their city
team, indicating that the Egyptian star will be the next mayor
of the city.
Despite his encouragement to rivals Everton, Liverpool Mayor
Joe Anderson expressed his happiness at the city’s achievement
of the League title, and singled out the acclaim of the Egyptian
star Mohamed Salah.
Anderson said: “Mohamed Salah is a humble person and we are
proud to be associated with the city of Liverpool,” according to
the “Liverpool Eco” website.
He added: “His play with Liverpool also adds a lot to him as an
Egyptian player, he is an actor of Egyptian football in Liverpool
and England.
The famous mayor jokingly said: “I will allow Salah to be
the mayor of the city if they allow me to play football like him.”
“And if Salah wants to run for the mayor of Liverpool, he will
have many fans and supporters.”
Anderson indicated that he is an old fan of Everton, Liverpool’s
first city rivals, and that he will continue to support the team
even in the difficult circumstances he is going through.
Salah had contributed greatly to his teammates in Liverpool
to restore the English Premier League title, absent from
the club 30 years ago.
