Lionel Messi returned to register with Barcelona to contribute
to the 4-0 victory over Villarreal in an almost perfect start under
coach Ronald Koeman in the Spanish Premier League.
The rising striker Ansu Fati inspired Barcelona after appearing
in great shape and teamed up with Jordi Alba to score the first
goal in the 15th minute and then doubled the lead four minutes
later with a calm touch.
And the 17-year-old Fati, who is in his second season with
Barcelona after rising to the first team last season got a penalty
kick that Messi successfully executed in the 35th minute.
Pau Torres, Villarreal defender, scored by mistake at the end of
the first half to deepen the wounds of Unai Emery’s team, and
Barcelona continued their dominance in the second half without
expanding the difference.
