The company, Epic, had filed a lawsuit against Apple because of
the monopoly and unfair commercial practice in its opinion,
and Epic wanted to get the proceeds of the game Fortnite
without deducting 30% for Apple as it wanted a store of its own,
which is against Apple’s policy and the agreement In common
between the two parties, bypassing the agreement led to a
backlash from Apple, which began with the removal of Fortnite
game from the App Store and then cut off the technical support,
development environment, and Epic developer accounts
completely from the iOS system, which means that the Anrill 4
engine stops getting updates as well.
Microsoft has raised a word to the court in support of Epic’s
position regarding the Unreal engine in particular, and Mr. Phil
Spencer, head of the Xbox division at Microsoft, confirmed on
Twitter that making the development tools available for Epic
and the Anrill engine is the right thing to do for developers
and the gamer community.
