Liverpool and the Egyptian national team star, Mohamed Salah, broke his silence after
the tragic defeat against Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

by one point behind Manchester City and the final defeat against Real Madrid.
The 29-year-old revealed his sadness at not winning, but was also keen to thank the Reds fans for their support.
“I can’t thank the fans enough for their support,” he tweeted. “It’s been a very long season but part of me
wishes the next season could start again tomorrow.”
Salah also revealed what it means for him to be honored by winning the award for best player in England,
despite saying that he is ready to give up individual awards in order to replay the final in the Champions League.
Mohamed Salah celebrated at the end of the 2021/22 season by winning the third golden shoe in
the English Premier League, after he tied with South Korean Heung Min Son of Tottenham Hotspur with
23 goals, before receiving this prestigious award that was voted by the fans.
Mohamed Salah had previously won the title in 2018 and 2021, according to the British newspaper, the Daily Mail.
Salah added: “Honoring fans and sports journalists in the same season is something special that I will never
forget.. However, I would like to give up all those personal awards for a chance to replay the final, but that
is not the way football works.”
His comments come after reports he could make an exciting move towards one of Liverpool’s rivals,
as he is said to want to stay in the Premier League even if he cannot agree a new deal with Liverpool.
This news led to a feeling of anger for the Liverpool fans, so that they demanded, in an outburst of anger
on social media, to get rid of the Egyptian star immediately, according to some of them.
