Real Madrid lost 1-0 to Levante to lose the Primera Liga title on Saturday,
and their suffering increased with Eden Hazard’s injury four days before Manchester City in the Champions League.
Levante striker Jose Luis Morales scored the only goal of the match with a powerful kick in the 79th minute
as he hit goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois with a direct shot from a narrow angle.
Real suffered his first loss in the domestic league since October,
to drop to second place with 53 points from 25 games,
and two points behind defending champion Barcelona who crushed Eibar 5-0.
Hazard, who joined Real’s massive deal before the start of the season,
missed the most dangerous opportunity for the visiting team
and then left the injured field a few minutes later in its second match
after returning from an ankle injury that kept him out of action for about three months.
