The Liverpool club are watching closely the young
Thales Mango, who plays for Brazil’s Vasco da Gama,
and some call him “the new Neymar.”
Although Thales, who is still 17 years old, he has gained
a great reputation, especially in Brazil, and attracted
the attention of large European clubs recently.
“Thales is a promising player, and he made his debut
with Vasco da Gama last year, and he is only 17.
He already has praiseworthy technical skills and an
exciting maturity for a young man of his age,” the
Liverpool team website quoted Brazilian journalist
Gilmar Ferrera as saying.
He explained that in his first appearance, the young man
was attracting the attention of some major European
clubs, and added: “Months before he was promoted to
the first team, when he was 16 years old, he was
monitored by a technical team from Atletico Madrid.”
And Thales is not only acclaimed at the club level, he
was also chosen to follow in the footsteps of top football
stars, such as Neymar Dar Silva, Paris Saint-Germain
player.
Thales was part of the Brazil squad that won the U-17
World Cup. And many expect him to be a world star
because of his high technical skills.
“In the World Cup, he suffered a left ankle injury caused
by sprain, which kept him out of play in the last two
months of the season. During the summer vacation,
he suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal, and also
in his left foot,” journalist Ferrera said.
But Thales, fortunately, has now returned to full fitness
and is ready to play as soon as football matches resume,
which have been interrupted around the world by the
outbreak of Vios Corona.
