French Paris Saint-Germain announced the appointment of its new coach, Argentine Mauricio Pochettino,
the successor to Germany’s Thomas Tuchel, who was sacked weeks ago.
The French champion surprised football fans by sacking the German coach a few weeks ago, especially after
he led the team to the Champions League final last season.
Pochettino’s appointment came after a period of speculation surrounding the new coach’s position.
Pochettino had previously coached Tottenham for 5 seasons, developed a lot from the team and competed for
the league title, and also led the London club to the European Champions League final in 2019.
But despite his great development for Tottenham, he did not succeed in achieving any championship, which is
the black point that followed him throughout his training period and until his departure.
Pochettino aspires to achieve the first championship in his coaching career, with his new French team, who
represented him as a player in the nineties.
