French club Paris Saint-Germain announced, Friday, that its new Argentine coach, Mauricio Pochettino,
has been infected with the new Corona virus.
The French capital club said on its Twitter account that the coach, who took office early January, will “respect
the quarantine”, provided that his assistants Jess Perez and Miguel D’Agosteo will oversee the match against
Angers scheduled for Saturday in the twentieth stage of the French championship.
He added, “Pochettino underwent an examination to detect Covid-19, and it came back positive. He will be subject
to the approved health protocol.”
Three players are currently suffering from the new Coronavirus in the Paris Saint-Germain squad, which are
Brazilian Ravinia, German Theo Kehler and young Colin Dagba, who will also miss the match against Angers.
Saint-Germain fought 3 games so far under the supervision of Pochettino, drew 1-1 with Saint-Etienne,
beat Brest 3-0 and won the Champions Cup at the expense of Marseille 2-1 last Wednesday.
