The launch of Fallout 76 was among the worst in the
history of Bethesda. Although there are technical
problems in a number of the company’s famous versions,
those versions have attracted the players thanks to its
content and the experience it provides, but the same does
not apply to Fallout 76, which has been criticized by the
media and players.
While at the last episode of We Have Cool Friends on
YouTube, Pete Hines, Vice President of Marketing at
Bethesda, spoke about Fallout 76 and stated that they
were aware that what they were going to offer was
something completely different from the usual of their
games and he sees that the poor reception of the game
does not mean that it is wrong Trying new ideas, it
means that they have to learn from these mistakes the
next time they try new ideas.
Hines thinks that the fear of trying something new will
mean presenting the same games over and over again, for
example players wouldn’t get Horizon Zero Dawn if the
Guerrilla Games development team just worked on their
usual games.
