Does Microsoft have blueprints for new hardware or Xbox III
in the form of a small cloud dedicated chip for the xCloud cloud
service? This seems likely based on what Phil Spencer, the head
of the Xbox Division, said in an interview with The Verge:
I think you might see cheaper hardware on our site as part of
our ecosystem when you think of chips for broadcasting and
other things that someone might want to connect to a TV and
play with xCloud. You can even visualize something with
GamePass that will allow you to stream games to your TV
via xCloud and buy a controller.
